Хотя Кристофер и писал, что "Берен и Лутиэн" его последняя книга, однако ж стало известно, что в конце августа будет издано еще одно великое сказание - "Падение Гондолина" с рисунками Алана Ли.
Возможно, это будет просто компиляция текстов в эволюционном развитии, потому как текста подобного ДХ не получилось.

It would be very interesting to see how this relates to the first edition "assembled and revised" by Alexander Lewis as early as 1987 (http://www.hobbit.ca/Gondolin.html, http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/reviews/taleofgondolin.htm).

The article never mentions Lewis, because later on he had a falling-out with the Tolkien family, reflecting implicitly in the disclaimer: "This is a PRIVATE PUBLICATION and has NOT been endorsed by The JRR Tolkien Estate, The JRR Tolkien English Settlement, nor The Tolkien Trust." And despite the fact Lewis used to be the Chairman of the Tolkien Society, I have no idea how he'd gotten the permission in the first place, given the selfish, greedy, narrow-minded and litigative character of Tolkien's heirs.
